The Sea Otter iBook, free on iTunes
AmEnglish.com® and LittleELL.com announce the release of
the final iBook in Volume One of the Animal Tales Series. To celebrate the release of all nine iBooks in the series,
The Sea Otter will be available for free on iTunes.
Follow the sea otter as it floats on its back in a watery forest of kelp in the sea.
Learn how it uses rocks to crack open mussels and eat them. Discover how sea otters maintain the balance
in the kelp forest by eating sea urchins.
In the first part of The Sea Otter, you'll hear a poem paired with beautiful photographs of this remarkable animal.
In the second part, you can listen to the paired rhyming lines followed by 24 fun facts about the sea otter and its environment.
Listening to poetry is a fun way to discover sound and rhythm in English. Children can read along with an audio track,
following the highlighted words on each page. This feature is perfect for pre-readers and early readers.
It is also a great tool for English language learners of any age.
*These poems are written in anapestic tetrameter. Other well-known examples using this poetic meter are 'Twas the Night Before Christmas
and many poems by Dr. Seuss
The Sea Otter can be viewed on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. You can find it on iTunes:
